Configuration Grouping Files
Each component directory can consist of one or more configuration (.dxc) files.
For complex configurations typically involving multiple DSAs, you might need a
number of configuration files, grouped in a convenient manner using grouping
(.dxg) files:
Group 1 Group 2
commands A commands B commands C
As an example, suppose the DSAs TestCorp1, TestCorp2, and TestCorp3 all
require the schema files x500.dxc, cosine.dxc, and inetop.dxc. Rather than
“sourcing” each of these files from each of the DSA initialization files, it is more
convenient to create a TestCorp.dxg file containing the following lines:
source “x500.dxc”;
source “cosine.dxc”;
source “inetop.dxc”;
Each DSA initialization file would then contain the following line:
source “../schema/TestCorp.dxg”;
The advantage of this approach is that, if these DSAs require additional schema,
only a single file—TestCorp.dxg—needs editing.
Reasons for grouping files are:

To present a view that abstracts any internal organization within the
component
To manage ordering of the configuration files—especially important in
schema where definitions in one file depend on definitions in another file
Typically the schema and knowledge files are grouped.
