DXserver Script Language DXserver Script Language You can use the DXserver commands to control every aspect of DXserver operation. The DSA supports an extensive set of configuration and management commands that you can use in configuration files or enter interactively through the management console. The complete command language is defined in the appendix “DXserver Command Language.” You can organize commands into script files. Script files have the following general uses: ■ ■ ■ ■ Configuration—A group of DSAs can share the same configuration information. Prototyping—X.500 operations you can automate. Testing—The command language supports conditional statements. Shortcuts—Storage of often used commands. Configuration Files In order to describe the large number of DXserver commands, you can separate commands into individual files according to their function. These separate files should then reside in the appropriate config subdirectory.
