Using Knowledge Files in a Distributed Environment
However, it is more likely that the DSAs in a distributed system are on different
computers. To make sure that operations are not slowed down by network
limitations, each DSA should use its own local copy of the knowledge files.
We recommend that you make any changes to only one of these sets of
knowledge files, and then copy the changed files to the other locations.
This will help you keep the knowledge files synchronized.
For example, in the system shown here, you could use the knowledge files on
Server A as the master copies. Whenever you need to change a knowledge file,
you would make the change on Server A. You could then copy the changed files
to the other two servers.
