PRIORITY ACTIVITIES<br />
• Review <strong>of</strong> the institutional architecture for data<br />
collection, analysis and management to introduce a high<br />
level <strong>of</strong> consistency and reliability in the information<br />
produced and its management.<br />
• Set up a central system for storage and retrieval data<br />
that is accessible to all players in the sector.<br />
• Support agencies to develop own central system <strong>of</strong> data<br />
collection and analysis in the short to medium term to<br />
support evidence based decision making.<br />
• Deploy a computerised system for the National <strong>Health</strong><br />
Insurance Scheme at the National secretariat and district<br />
level.<br />
• Roll out MOH website and messaging system.<br />
• Appoint ICT focal points in Agencies to coordinate roll<br />
out <strong>of</strong> ICT strategy<br />
• Expand operations <strong>of</strong> ICT focal point at MOH<br />
headquarters to include database administration<br />
functions and maintenance <strong>of</strong> centralised information<br />
systems.<br />
• Develop ICT operational procedures and policies.<br />
