Elyse Ann Sproul
Steffensen Cannon
Scholarship
Why are you interested in teaching?
I decided to become a teacher well into my
Sophomore year in college. After taking a Human
Exceptionality course and a couple of other
introductory teaching courses at the University of
Utah, I decided to get a job working in a school
district's Special Education program. I fell in love
with the profession of teaching, and really enjoyed
working within the Special Education program. I am
very grateful for the donors of the Steffensen Cannon
Scholarship for allowing me to further my education
and reach my goals. As a teacher, I hope to be able to
give back to my community. I look forward to
working with future generations.
