Endowed Scholarship
Why are you interested in teaching?
I come from a family of educators. In my late twenties, I
realized it was inevitable that I choose a career in education.
When I moved back to Salt Lake seven years ago, it was a
natural choice for me to enroll in an alternative teacher
preparation program for special education. After nearly five
years as an elementary school Resource teacher I became the
504 Coordinator for our district. I enjoy working with school
leaders in all 39 of our schools. Now in my second year of the
ELP program, I am more excited that ever to become a catalyst
for change within our educational system by creating vibrant,
equitable schools.
