Early Childhood <strong>Education</strong><br />
Why are you interested in teaching?<br />
I taught in the West High preschool during two years at<br />
West as well as interned at Escalante Elementary. I have<br />
absolutely loved it! I love working with children, teaching<br />
them and seeing them grow. I find joy in being with kids.<br />
Already, my child care education and experience has proven to<br />
me that teaching really is what I want to do.<br />

How will receiving these scholarship benefit you?<br />
These scholarships are an incredible blessing! I was so<br />
worried about how I was going to pay for my college education.<br />
I have a job and plan to work through school, but I was worried<br />
about paying for everything, working, and staying on top <strong>of</strong> my<br />
classes and homework.<br />
About Mary<br />
The <strong>2010</strong>-<strong>2011</strong> school year will be Mary‘s first at the<br />
University <strong>of</strong> Utah, as she just graduated from West High.<br />
Mary enjoys singing and playing the piano and loves music.
