Scholarship
Why are you interested in becoming a school counselor?
I am interested in becoming a school counselor because I love
working with children and adolescents and I would like to be in
a profession where I could have the potential of positively
impacting some of these young people‘s lives. I am a ―people
person‖ and I love work where I am having the opportunity to
interact with many different people each day. I also like that
under Utah‘s Comprehensive Guidance program school
counselors have the opportunity to go into classrooms and
present guidance curriculum. I love teaching, and as a school
counselor I most likely will have the opportunity to give
classroom presentations. I have already done some of this in my
school counseling practicum experience, and I greatly enjoyed
the experience.
