14 ETYMOLOGY. ARTICLE. There are two genders, masculine and feminine : two numbers, singular and plural. There is but one article, AD, (on) the, which does not vary in the singular, except in the genitive feminine, where it becomes DA (naw) ; in the plural it is OA, masculine and feminine.
