31 The same accidents that cause aspiration in the leading letters of substantives, to distinguish their genders, also influence the initial mutable consonants of adjectives. The nominative and accusative are always alike ; the dative and ablative are always alike. In ancient MSS. examples are met with of the dative and ablative plural ending in ^b, but never in the modern language. ORDER I.
