EXISTING INVENTORY<br />
The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Centralia</strong> benefits from a diverse array <strong>of</strong> natural<br />
resources <strong>and</strong> public park <strong>and</strong> recreation facilities. In addition to<br />
the city sites, a number <strong>of</strong> local, state, <strong>and</strong> federal agencies are<br />
involved in providing park <strong>and</strong> recreational amenities for the<br />
community. Though many different providers are regionally<br />
present, this inventory focuses on sites <strong>and</strong> facilities located<br />
within the <strong>Centralia</strong> urban growth area.<br />
<strong>Centralia</strong> Service Area<br />
<strong>Centralia</strong> provides park <strong>and</strong> open space opportunities on 229<br />
acres <strong>of</strong> l<strong>and</strong> distributed among 18 city <strong>and</strong> publicly owned sites.<br />
An additional 39 acres <strong>of</strong> public l<strong>and</strong> is available at <strong>Centralia</strong>’s<br />
five special facilities. Together, these 23 sites total 270 acres <strong>of</strong><br />
public l<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> are listed on the following table:<br />
