The Cardiff Award Student of the Year This Award recognises a student that has excelled over the year. To be considered students will have achieved/demonstrated the following: • Exceeded the Award learning outcomes. • Achieved a distinction in the Award overall. • Completed excellent reflective logs that demonstrate that the individual has recognised how they have developed as a result of their experiences. • Shown themselves to be reliable individuals, proven through timely attendance to booked workshops/sessions/networking events. • Understands and embraces the concept of lifelong learning; is able to demonstrate how they will continue to learn following successful completion of the Award. The prize: • 1 Student of the Year Award- £100 cash prize and engraved glass trophy • 1 Special Commendation) - £50 cash prize and engraved glass trophy • The Award Manager will create a shortlist following verification and the winners will be decided by Award sponsors and staff. The shortlist will be announced prior to the celebration event and all those shortlisted will receive a certificate to add to their portfolio. The winners will be announced at the end of year celebration event, taking place in the spring term. 25
