<strong>The</strong> <strong>Cardiff</strong> <strong>Award</strong> Student of the Year<br />
This <strong>Award</strong> recognises a student that has excelled over the year.<br />
To be considered students will have achieved/demonstrated the following:<br />
• Exceeded the <strong>Award</strong> learning outcomes.<br />
• Achieved a distinction in the <strong>Award</strong> overall.<br />
• Completed excellent reflective logs that demonstrate that the individual has recognised<br />
how they have developed as a result of their experiences.<br />
• Shown themselves to be reliable individuals, proven through timely attendance to<br />
booked workshops/sessions/networking events.<br />
• Understands and embraces the concept of lifelong learning; is able to demonstrate how<br />
they will continue to learn following successful completion of the <strong>Award</strong>.<br />
<strong>The</strong> prize:<br />
• 1 Student of the Year <strong>Award</strong>- £100 cash prize and engraved glass trophy<br />
• 1 Special Commendation) - £50 cash prize and engraved glass trophy<br />
•<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Award</strong> Manager will create a shortlist following verification and the winners will be decided by<br />
<strong>Award</strong> sponsors and staff.<br />
<strong>The</strong> shortlist will be announced prior to the celebration event and all those shortlisted will receive a<br />
certificate to add to their portfolio.<br />
<strong>The</strong> winners will be announced at the end of year celebration event, taking place in the spring term.<br />
