• Wielka Ucieczka – The Great Escape
Muzeum Martyrologii Alianckich Więźniów Wojennych
jest miejscem gdzie przetrzymywano ponad 10 tys.
jeńców wojennych. Chcąc uniknąć śmieci, część z nich
zdecydowała się na ucieczkę, kopiąc podziemny tunel.
Tunel „Harry”– stwarza dzisiaj jedyną możliwość bezpośredniego
uczestnictwa w Wielkiej Ucieczce. W zrekonstruowanej
części mamy możliwość przejechania się
wózkiem i doświadczenia takich samych emocji, które
towarzyszyły uciekinierom podczas tak spektakularnego
i odważnego przedsięwzięcia.
• Off road
w okolicy Żagania. Sąsiedztwo dwóch poligonów
wojskowych daje Żaganiowi ogromne możliwości
dla rozwoju tego rodzaju formy aktywności. Co roku
do Żagania zjeżdżają się setki terenowych aut oraz
motocykli, aby sprawdzić się na doskonale przygotowanej
i niezbyt łatwej trasie (motocykle, quady,
samochody terenowe). Jest to drugi to OFF ROAD
w Europie, gdzie po bezdrożach można jeździć legalnie
i bezpiecznie.
• Winobranie
Winobranie jest czołową imprezą miasta znaną
w kraju jak i za granicą. Wrześniowe święto związane
jest z uwieńczeniem prac przy zbiorach w winnicach.
Jak co roku, święto zaczyna się uroczystym

• Wielka Ucieczka – The Great Escape
The Museum of Allied Prisoners of War Martyrdom
is a place where more than 10 000 prisoners of war
were held. In order to avoid death, some of them
decided to escape, digging an underground tunnel.
“Harry” tunnel - today it creates the only possibility
of direct participation in the Great Escape. In the reconstructed
part we have the possibility of travelling
by a trolley and experiencing the same emotions as
the jail-breakers during such a spectacular and courageous
act.
• Off road
in the area of Żagań. The vicinity of two military
grounds provides Żagań with tremendous possibilities
in the field of the development of this type of activity.
Every year hundreds of off-road cars and motorcycles
come to Żagań to attempt to deal with a perfectly prepared
and not too easy route (motorcycles, quads, offroad
cars). It is the second OFF ROAD in Europe where
it is legal and safe to drive in the wilderness.
• Vine harvest
Vine harvest is the leading event of the city, wellknown
in the country and abroad. The holiday in
September is associated with the finishing touch
of works with harvest in vineyards. As each year, the
holiday begins with a solemn handing over of the
keys to the city to the god of wine and pleasure –
Bacchus. He is accompanied by noisy but beautiful
Bacchantes and a satyr overusing wine.
• Mużakowski Park – the only place in Lubuskie
Province entered in the prestigious List of
World Culture Heritage of UNESCO
Mużakowski Park is located on Nysa Łużycka River,
on both sides of the Polish-German border. Western
part of the park with the residentiary centre is located
on the German side, within the city of Bad Muskau.
Eastern part is located on the Polish side, within
the city of Łęknica. Polish side of the park is managed
by the Polish National Centre for Research and
Documentation of Monuments, and the German
side by Stiftung “Fürst-Pückler-Park-Bad Muskau”.
The area of the whole project is 728 ha, western part
– 206 ha , eastern part – 522 ha. The park is located in
the area of end moraine diverse in terms of height,
known as Łuk Mużakowa. This is one of the most extensive
landscape parks of the 19th century in Europe,
and, at the same time, one of the main works
of European art of gardening.
