2. Audio-Visual Facilities<br />

The AV Office has four (4) Audio-Visual Rooms or AVRs, four (4) Lecture<br />

Rooms, four (4) Viewing Rooms, a Preview Booth, and a Taping Booth.<br />

In its efforts to provide equal opportunities for everyone, maximize the use<br />

of limited facilities and conserve energy, priority on the use of these facilities<br />

will be given to those who will be utilizing Performances, Simulations,<br />

Electronic Media Viewing and Visual Presentations in their activities.<br />

The following are the various facilities with their available fixtures<br />

and equipment.<br />

Library<br />

The primary objective of the HEU Library is to make its services contribute<br />

as effectively as possible to the instructional programs of the various colleges.<br />

It provides students and faculty reference materials and research resources<br />

to supplement classroom activities and encourages students to use various<br />

library resources independently as a means to acquire knowledge.<br />

The Library is located at the SMT Hall and is administered and staffed by<br />

professional librarians and support personnel. They work with the faculty<br />

in curriculum planning and development and in selecting and evaluating<br />

materials to support the instructional program. They provide the necessary<br />

references and bibliographic services to enable the students and faculty<br />

members to take full advantage of the library’s resources.<br />

a. Print Publications<br />

The HEU Library offers a wide range of resources like books on various<br />

disciplines, periodicals like journals and magazines (print and online);<br />

Online databases; and microfiche collection.<br />

3. Service Hours<br />

The AV Office maintains the following schedules to be able to serve in the<br />

most efficient and effective manner. These schedules are subject to limitations<br />

under the school’s Academic Calendar.<br />

*The AV Office closes from 12:00 NN–1:00 PM during Mondays.<br />

During suspension of classes, as declared by the government authorities<br />

or the school administration, the office may revert to an 8:00 AM–12:00 PM<br />

and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM office schedule.<br />

Aside from the general book collections (local and foreign), there are<br />

some books that are classified as Special Collections. These are under<br />
