CASANOVA
Ballett / Ballet
Koreograaf-lavastaja / Choreographer-Director David Sonnenbluck (Belgia / Belgium)
Osades / In Roles: Ilja Mironov, Nashua Mironova, Takuya Sumitomo, Mai
Kageyama, Hayley Blackburn ja kogu balletitrupp / and the whole ballet company.
Ajast aega on Casanova saatus tekitanud
inimkonnas ihalust ilu järele. See skandaalne
veneetslane polnud mitte ainult
seikleja, petis ja vabamõtleja, nagu teda
tavaliselt kujutatakse, vaid ka poeet, memuaarikirjanik,
filosoof ja muusik. Sellest
lähtudes on David Sonnenbluck loonud
nii stiili kui muusika poolest ajatu balleti –
see on ühtlasi nii barokne kui kaasaegne.
Tundmatu isa lapsena sündinud Jacques
Casanova saatus oli kummaline – ta tõmbus
varakult tagasi avalikust elust ja tema
mälestused ei räägi sellest ajajärgust tema
elus praktiliselt mitte midagi. Vaevalt täisealiseks
saanud, pühendus ta esmalt kiriklikule,
seejärel sõjaväelisele karjäärile,
kuid loobus neist peagi sellise elu kasuks,
mida paljud peavad „skandaalseks“. Aristokraatlikud
hinged, kes otsisid tundeelamusi
oma argipäeva ilmestamiseks, muutsid
ta „erotomaaniks“. Ta kollektsioneeris
seiklusi – justkui kättemaksuks saatusele
– vastates ebaõnnele kirglike tunnetega.
Võttes iga seiklust nii, nagu oleks see
viimane, õnnestus tal järjekindlalt oma
kireobjektile truudust murda. Eikellegina
sündinud mehest sai sage külaline toonases
suurilma seltskonnas: õukond (Louis
XV kaasa arvatud), Voltaire, Rousseau,
Mozart... Kõik see ongi inspireerinud David
Sonnenblucki looma balletti suurest
võrgutajast.
Lavastuses on kasutatud Mozarti, Vivaldi,
ansambli “Typsi” heliteoseid ja traditsioonilist
araabia muusikat.
From time to time the fate of Casanova has
excited the desire for beauty. That scandalous
Venetian was not only an adventurer,
fraud and a freethinker as he is usually portrayed,
but also a poet, memoir writer, philosopher
and musician. Emanating from
that, David Sonnenbluck with its style as
well as music has created a timeless ballet
– it is baroque as well as contemporary at
the same time.
Jacques Casanova who was born a child
with an unknown father was strange – he
withdrew himself early on from the public
life and his memories tell nearly nothing
about this time period in his life. Becoming
an adult, he committed himself to the
church at first, then to a military career but
soon gave them up to live the life that many
consider to be „scandalous”. The aristocratic
souls who looked for emotional experiences
to spice up their everyday life, changed
him into an „erotomaniac“. He collected
adventures – as if to revenge fate – answering
with passionate emotions to failure.
Taking every adventure as it was the last,
he managed to stay constantly unfaithful to
his object of passion. A man who was born
a nobody became a frequent guest at the
past greatest society (the court (including
Louis XV) Voltaire, Rousseau, Mozart...).
All this has inspired David Sonnenbluck to
create a ballet about a great seducer.
The production makes use of the music by
Mozart, Vivaldi, Typsi and traditional Arabic
music.
