How Money Works
Kevin Kenyon, Instructor
This course will cover the root
causes of financial problems:
failure to plan and being
uninformed or misinformed.
It will also explain the basics
behind “the rule of 72;” what
are mutual funds and money
market investments; the 3Ds of
successful investing; wholesale
banks versus retail banks; how
and why to pay off debt; and
how to recognize credit card
traps. Also: details of how
mortgages work and who
profits on your investment in
a house; how to reduce your
monthly mortgage payments;
how to get completely out of
debt sooner; how to invest
the difference in your monthly
savings and set up college fund
and retirement accounts. Further:
a full explanation of what
insurance is and how it relates
to the participant and his/her
relatives, and what life insurance
is and how to properly purchase
a policy that is appropriate for
you, not the agent. Every student
will complete and receive a free
professional financial needs
analysis (FNA), complete with a
restructuring program on how
to alter his/her own present debt
course and an exact date when
he/she can get completely out of
debt sooner and at much lower
cost. The instructor will complete
the FNA and present it to each
student. An FNA normally costs
approximately $1,500 to perform,
but is offered at no expense to
students in this course.
