D5 Annex WP 7: ETIS DATABASE METHODOLOGY AND DATABASE USER
MANUAL – PASSENGER TRANSPORT SUPPLY
1 INTRODUCTION
The present report represents the WP 7 annex report of deliverable D5 of the reference database
development within the ETIS project 1 . The present document describes the ETIS­Database
methodology development and is the database user manual for the passenger transport level­ofservice
(LOS) data set, which is being developed within WP 7.
The objectives of the methodological report can be characterised as follows:
· Determine the variables to be included
· Describe the methodology to obtain the variables and to fill the remaining gaps
· List the sources being used and document the status of data purchase
· Describe the scope of and methodology for the pilot data set to be generated for passenger
LOS indicators.
· Describe the testing phase and its findings.
Since the methodologies applied for the collection, retrieval and generation of data is strongly
dependent on the supporting indicator considered, the present document follows a structure,
which is oriented on each indicator individually.
This annex report and the annex reports of the other WPs are summarised in the synthesis report
of D5.
