D5 Annex WP 7: ETIS DATABASE METHODOLOGY AND DATABASE USER MANUAL – PASSENGER TRANSPORT SUPPLY Remarks concerning method variable computation Tariffs for air transport are updated daily in a ticket consolidators data base and three times per day on commercial booking systems. In addition most tariffs are “subject to availability”, meaning, even when set up well defined trip purpose specific rules (e. g. booking in 14 days in advance, weekendstay, etc.) varying tariffs, just depending on the booking situation, apply to every set of rules defined. Therefore a function deriving average costs from available tariffs has to be used in addition. This function takes also into account, which passenger fees and aircraft specific handling fees apply for a distinct airport, which are available from the ICAO. R20040089.doc 27 May 2004 67
