Assists low-income families in finding and applying for home ownership. May assist with a down payment and/or<br />
rehabilitation grant towards a home. Participant must go through application process and qualify.<br />

This is a VOLUNTEER organization located in <strong>Kitsap</strong> county. Assists qualifying low-income families in building<br />
homes. To qualify, applicants must apply and then will be screened. This process includes a credit check, work<br />
history, and meeting income guidelines. Once accepted applicants agree to meet income guidelines. Agreements<br />
are made to help build their home as well as other Habitat homes. Call the number to volunteer or apply for the<br />
program.<br />

The Home Builders Association of <strong>Kitsap</strong> County is an association of professional builders, subcontractors,<br />
service providers and purveyors representing the home building industry. The association provides, to its members<br />
and the community, information, education and services that promote the health and welfare of the home building<br />
industry. As leaders of the industry, we foster safe affordable housing and address issues affecting our industry.<br />

Public housing for low-income families. Participant must apply and meet income qualifications. If found eligible,<br />
placed on a waiting list. They also offer free after-school programs for youths, free workshops for adults and offer<br />
the Self-Help Program (535-6100) and Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program (535-6131).<br />
