Evaluation and assessment of Uruguayan Forest Certification scheme against the requirements of the PEFC Council Preface The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes Council (PEFCC) engaged ITS Global on 14 April 2010, to evaluate and assess the Uruguayan Forest Certification Scheme (UFCS) against requirements of the PEFC Council. The UFCS was submitted for assessment to the PEFCC by President (Dr Gerardo Barios) and Vice- President (Dr Alvaro Molinari) of PEFC Uruguay on 8 January 2010. This conformity assessment report has been prepared consistent with PEFCC’s guidelines in PEFC Council Technical Document 6/2007 (Content of the Consultant’s Assessment Report for Forest Certification Schemes). The following report details the findings of the evaluation, public comments and field visit, identifying areas of compliance and non compliance with PEFC requirements.
