Yvette Grace Manager, Wairarapa Community PHO Diplomas in Management - NZIM Diploma in Te Reo from Te Wananga o Aotearoa Yvette has been in the role of PHO Manager for the Wairarapa Community PHO starting from the end of July 2009. Yvette brings a wealth of experience to the role, and has strong connections to local Iwi. She has spent the past four years building the influence and reputation of King Street Artworks, a mental health NGO based in Masterton. Yvette has a strong health and social services background. She served nearly six years as a Wairarapa DHB Board member. This time on the DHB Board saw some major service development in the Wairarapa. Yvette was also a founding Trustee on the Wairarapa PHO Board, serving for three years. She has formerly held roles including Family Start with Rangitane and the Masterton based Kura Kaupapa Maori language immersion school, the Pukaha Mt Bruce Community Challenge, the very successful Kahungunu ka moe ka puta exhibition, Wairarapa Woman’s Refuge, Wairarapa Rape Crisis and the Wellington Help Foundation. 132
Alison Appleton Manager, Human Resources – WCPHO /Compass Health RGON, RM, Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management Tenure: 13 years Alison has a broad range of experience in the Health sector having worked as a registered nurse and community midwife for 25 years prior to joining the organisation in 1996. She originally worked in project management and for the last six years has worked in Human Resource Management. The department initially provided services to 40 employees – now to over 200 staff plus Committee and Board members. Angela Cook Manager, Finance – WCPHO /Compass Health Bachelor of Commerce and Administration Associate of Chartered Accountants (papers) Tenure: 1.5 years Angela has extensive experience financial and management accounting over the past twenty five years. This has included working for international organisations such as KPMG, banking (Barclays) and Treasury as well as the NGO/not-for-profit sector. Angela has particular interest in business development and change management, which was expanded during her ten year tenure at Mistsubishi Motors NZ Limited. Jayden MacRae Manager, Information Management – WCPHO /Compass Health Bachelor Of Physiotherapy Post Graduate Diploma in Health Informatics with Distinction Tenure: 7 years Jayden has previously worked in the health information field for MidCentral Health as an Information Officer, and on secondment to Information Systems as an analyst/programmer. He has also held the position of Senior Teaching Fellow with the University of Otago in the Department of Information Science and Wellington School of Medicine in the Health Informatics programme. He has a technical background in software development, and has a strong process engineering skill set. Currently, Jayden participates in a number of sector groups, including the Primary Care Information Management Forum. Jayden worked as a physiotherapist in primary care prior to his heath information career. Joanne Paringatai Manager, Mental Health – WCPHO /Compass Health Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Teaching Tenure: 4 years Joanne brings strong government health sector experience to the Compass Management Team having held several positions within ACC. During her time with Compass Health, Joanne has provided a key role service development, providing leadership, knowledge and expertise to manage and co-ordinate the development, implementation and design of business and service delivery. For the past two years Joanne has managed the Mental Health services and team and progressed the implementation of our Primary Solutions and Mental Health Liaison programmes.
