Yvette has been in the role of <strong>PHO</strong> Manager for the <strong>Wairarapa</strong> <strong>Community</strong><br />
<strong>PHO</strong> starting from the end of July 2009. Yvette brings a wealth of<br />
experience to the role, and has strong connections to local Iwi. She has<br />
spent the past four years building the influence and reputation of King<br />
Street Artworks, a mental health NGO based in Masterton.<br />
Yvette has a strong health and social services background. She served<br />
nearly six years as a <strong>Wairarapa</strong> DHB Board member. This time on the DHB<br />
Board saw some major service development in the <strong>Wairarapa</strong>.<br />
Yvette was also a founding Trustee on the <strong>Wairarapa</strong> <strong>PHO</strong> Board, serving<br />
for three years. She has formerly held roles including Family Start with<br />
Rangitane and the Masterton based Kura Kaupapa Maori language<br />
immersion school, the Pukaha Mt Bruce <strong>Community</strong> Challenge, the very<br />
successful Kahungunu ka moe ka puta exhibition, <strong>Wairarapa</strong> Woman’s<br />
Refuge, <strong>Wairarapa</strong> Rape Crisis and the Wellington Help Foundation.<br />
