Quality systems will also be developed to ensure accurate recording of patient
information and details to ensure care continuity, as our vulnerable
populations are at risk of having their information inaccurately recorded which
compromises their health care. Having the medical centre as the central place
for recording of this information with the agreement that other social support
and NGOs information relevant to the health care for patients is shared.

Community Engagement
Effective community engagement with internal and external groups and
organisations, relationships with youth services and elderly care services, and
other social services that care for our vulnerable populations, further enhances
the provision and facilitation of care for these groups.
Cultural Responsiveness
Cultural expertise, training and resources will be available for staff to increase
their understanding of important values and protocols relating to the cultures
of vulnerable populations. Implementing Te Arawhata Totika, the cultural
competency framework, will provide the foundation for this work in
Wairarapa.
