Functioning of proportional dosing unit:
The water flow, even in small amounts, sets the motor piston in action, which sets the dosing
unit piston in motion, the product is being absorbed and transferred in the pipe water.
1st Phase:
When water flows in, A pushes the piston C, which sets the mixture in motion in C. At the same time the dosing unit piston D absorbs the
product and injects it in the homogenising room.
At the end of this phase the admission flaps 2 open and the evacuation flaps 1 close.
2nd Phase:
The B piston falls down and a portion of the solution is injected in the homogenisation room. At the inferior end of the stroke the evacuation
flaps 1 open and the admission flaps 2 close, the circuit continues.
Connection diagram
Note: the pump is adjusted for a 0,2% dose.
- flow rate 2 g/l
- follow the technical instructions of the Prochlore product
- dissolving in 50% water is necessary to get to a dose of 150 mg/l .
- calculation: in 1 liter Prochlore with 48˚concentration there are 152 g of free chlorine: 152.000 mg x 0,2% = 304 mg when we dilute the
product 50% the dosage is 152 mg/l
FILMLIKE LIMESTONE REMOVING AND ANTICORROSIVE
SOLUTION FOR WARM-WATER PREPARATION
> PEP 04
Description: The relatively hard water (< 19˚dH) forms mud and rust deposits in warm-water pipes because of corrosion and limestone
formation.
PEP 04 combines the properties of phosphates and silicates , prevents corrosion and limestone deposits.
The two effects of PEP 04 are :
- Limestone removal: the calcium and magnesium ions are inhibited by the polyphosphate and their chemical transformation is
stopped. The forming of the limestone cristalls is prevented in this way.
- Anticorrosion: phosphates and silicates form negative particles at the anodes of the solution of iron and calcium, it isolates the
metal from the oxidating elements.
Physical and chemical properties: - colourless and scentless fluid
- density: 1,16 (±0,02)
- pH-value in 1% solution >9,0
- critical point: -6˚C
Usage mode: The dosage of PEP 04 depends on the conditioning water quantity and the pipes’ state.
Product ready to use. The inlet of the product depends on the rate flow and is made through a dosing station.
Recommendation: Inlet in the circuit is done through a dosing station directly depending on the water flow rate.
Reservation: Exclusive professional usage. See security data sheet.
Packaging: 20 l can with Ref. no. 8452.
User recommendation: Product for professional usage according to instructions. We do not assume any responsibility in case of inexpediently
CHLORINE DISINFECTION PRODUCT
> Prochlore
Description: Prochlore is a disinfection product for drinking water pipes and is used as oxidating means for microbiological germs.
Its various efficiency is very large, it acts on groups of micro-organisms from water supply szstems.
PROCHLORE is used as preventive conditioning for warm-water pipes. In its form the hydrochloric acid acts upon the
membrane of the micro-organisms and blocks the enzymatic functioning of the metabolism through its oxidating action upon
their tissues.
PROCHLORE has a specific remanent effect as all the chlorine substances. It is also used against the Legionella bacteria
proliferation (as preventive or curative treatment).
Physical and chemical properties: - complex of sodic hypochloride at 48˚chlorinemetric and phosphate substances for stabilising the product.
- colourless fluid
- pH-value in 1% solution : 11
- density: 1,23
Usage mode: Considering that:
- 1 g chlorinemetric = 3,17 g chlorine / l
- Prochlore is 48 º chlorinemetric, that is 48 x 3,17 g = 152,16 g free chlorine/l
Dosing table for curative treatment:
Dosing of free chlorine Contact time
MAGNETIC FILTER
> Oxide and Mud Removal from heating plants by magnetic capture
CLARIMAG
Functionating Principle:
Connection Principle:
Mounting in circuit (return).
Magnetic filtering for installation protection (for small modells).
Mounting in branch.
Cleaning in two phases.
Determinating the CLARIMAG filters by flow rate: 3 m³/h, 5 m³/h, 10 m³/h, 15 m³/h.
CLARIMAG 3 (model 3 m³/h) can be mounted in small installations during their functionating. For all other types (CLARIMAG
5-10-15) the branch mounting is recommended in order not to disturb the circulation.
Notable: to calculate the flow rate of an installation Power in kcal
ΔT (must be between 15 and 20 °C)
Important: for the branch mounting a portion of ⅓ of the calculated flow rate must be passed through the CLARIMAG filter.
How do we choose CLARIMAG:
- 30 kW installation: 25800 kcal; ΔT = 15 °C; flow rate = 1720 l/h. In this case the model 3 m³/h can be mounted in circuit or
branch.
- 650 kW installation: 559000 kcal; ΔT = 16 °C; flow rate = 34938 l/h. Adjusting at ⅓ in branch, so 34938 l/h: 3 = 11646 l/h. In
this case the model 15 m³/h can be mounted in branch.
Clarimag will be mounted in return circuit:
- Fluid intake in CLARIMAG always from above.
- Evacuation above or at the bottom for CLARIMAG 3 and CLARIMAG 5 models and only at the bottom for CLARIMAG 10
and CLARIMAG 15 models.
- 5 l DESOX
- 2 l neutraliser
- 2 l corrosion inhibitory agent
In order to treat an installation with KIT DB depending on water
quantity one must only inject the products according to their
instructions.
Preliminary condition:
Before treatment any installation must be checked for deaeration system and for functionating valves.
The total state of the installation must also be controlled in order to evaluate the leaking risks, but also to
check internal and external pipe corrosion (when passing through walls and floors), radiators (environmental
humidity), zones with bad circuit (also obstructions), tap or valve blocking, etc.
Important:
The treatment removes incrustation and suspending oxides and carbonates .
The used products protect installation elements but water loss when removing mud by chemical treatment
must be taken into account.
Application mode:
1. Complete evacuation of pipes
2. Filling and introducing 5 l DESOX 80 for 100 l water.
DESOXIDISING AND MUD REMOVAL PRODUCTS
> Alkaline Mud Removal Agent
DBR 80
Description: DBR 80 is a chemical product containing alkaline elements, sodium sulfite, polyacrylates, surfactant agents,
organic phosphates and triazoles. It is proper for a curative treatment and mud removal operation for central
heating plants and other closed circuits. DBR 80 allows for dispersion of concentrated metal oxides that were
formed by the calcium carbonate. It protects the attacked metals (copper, cast iron, iron) bilding an oxygenreducing
environment. The product can remain in the pipes until a normal water circuit and purity is achieved.
The impurities removal with DBR 80 can last many months without damaging the heating pipes. In this way the
curative and preventive treatments connect. DBR 80 is an alkaline product and it cannot be used for aluminium
parts (alloys or derivates).
Physical and chemical properties: - ready to use fluid
- pH-value: alkaline
- density at 20ºC : 1,12
- alkalinising , causes dispersion and dissolution
- oxygen and carbon dioxide reducing
- copper and iron corrosion inhibitory effect
Usage: In large installations: The dosage varys by the residue quantity. The medium concentration of DBR 80 must be between
1 and 3 %. The pH-value must be kept at 10 during the treatment. The product can be introduced with the help of a
dosing unit or an injection pump. The installation must be equipped with evacuation valves at the bottom of the columns,
decantation tanks or magnetic filters (CLARIMAG) , in order to evacuate the DBR 80 dissolved and liquefied residues ,
that are in the circuit and that need a concentration reduction in order to purify the pipe water.
In small installations: with the help of a TUBNET pump the product can be circulated, with a dosage of 6 to 10 % or it
can be introduced in two phases with a concentration of 3 to 5% and rinsing inbetween. A collecting decanter of
CLARIMAG type can be installed.
Control for 10 kg of DBR for m³:
- pH-value: 9,5 - 10
- 10 kg SO 3 reduce 20 g for m³ of dissolved oxygen
- P 2O 5: 35 mg for l
Recommendation: The removal of residues with DBR 80 is ideal for large installations equipped with a magnetic capture device,
that remove oxides and prevents mud depositing.
The operation shall take place in winter and the installation will be progressively improved.
Attention: Operation mode.
Preliminary condition: Before treatment any installation must be checked for deaeration system and for functionating valves.
The total state of the installation must also be controlled in order to evaluate the leaking risks, but also to
check internal and external pipe corrosion (when passing through walls and floors ), radiators
(environmental humidity), zones with bad circuit (also obstructions), tap or valve blocking, etc.
Important: The treatment removes incrustation and suspending oxides and carbonates .
The used products protect installation elements but water loss when removing mud by chemical treatment must be
taken into account.
1. Complete evacuation of pipes
Note: This may not always be possible for large installations.
2. Filling and introducing DBR 80 - quantity according to the installation size . Checking the circuit. Measuring the
pH-value during the conditioning, must be about 10. Evacuation by opening the valves at the bottom of the columns
or by magnetic capture and heat distribution check. Check the liquidity of the thermic fluid .
3. When the installation heats all over and the fluid is pure, the evacuation and rinsing is necessary , then manipulate
the radiators’ taps in turn in order to obtain a preferred circuit and check the pH-value that must be around the
neutralisation value.
4. It is recommended to introduce the corrosion inhibitory agent.
Reservation: Exclusive professional usage. See security data sheet.
