According to the regulaons, the maximum period for issuing the permit is
30 days, but praccally the administraon needs not more than two weeks. In
some cases the permit is issued in 2 days. Issuance fee is established by a special
computer program, which is used in the General Directoriate for Naonal Roads
and Motorways. The longer route and the greater dimension excess the more
expensive issuance fee is. Maximum price could be over 10.000 PLN.
1.1.2.2. Permits in rail transport
Decision on oversize transport, called extraordinary delivery, if there are
technical and operaonal possibilies, is made by rail infrastructure managing
instuon, PKP Polish Railway Lines Company S.A. The decision is usually made
within 30 days and is containing condions given by all appropriate PKP Polish
Railway Lines Company Local Departments.
In internaonal traffic, extraordinary delivery requires the consent of all the
boards involved in the transport rail, and can only be done while maintaining the
specific condions set by these boards.
The shipper must nofy the carrier of the intenon to transport an
extraordinary delivery of at least 30 days before the planned date of departure
in the naonal communicaons, and 60 days in internaonal communicaon.
The noficaon should include:
– not less than 3 copies of a cargo stowing drawings,
– transport instrucon at the request of the administraon enty.
Cargo stowing drawings must be done in three projecons and in 1:20 scale of
the hree projectbackground of rail gauge. All three projecons should not exceed
A3 size. In the drawings must be included stowing and security arrangements on
the wagon, as well as a securing technology prevenng movable parts to change
their posion during transport.
Drawings made by the shipper of the consignment must be approved by
the carrier.
Figure 12 shows stowing of Spinnerkappe on wagon Rs series type 412 and
Fig. 13-14 show stowing of Rotarbla on wagon Rios series type 447.
For every permit for extraordinary delivery PKP PLK SA charges a fee in
accordance with the price list of charges for the use of railway infrastructure
managed by PLK SA
1.1.2.3. Permits in inland water transport
In regulaons for shipping on inland waterways is described, that oversize
carriages in inland shipping are special deliveries, which can take place only on the
base of permit. It is issued, upon request of shipowner, by the Inland Navigaon
Office appropriate for the place of the beginning of the route. For every special
