Vocational Education and Training (VET)<br />

VET Curriculum Frameworks<br />

The Board has developed curriculum frameworks for seven industries. Within each framework <strong>the</strong>re<br />

are a number of courses. It is expected that at least one designated 240-hour course in each<br />

framework will contribute towards <strong>the</strong> ATAR. You must undertake a mandatory work placement to<br />

complete <strong>the</strong>se courses successfully.<br />

The frameworks offered at <strong>Waverley</strong> are:<br />

Entertainment<br />

Hospitality<br />

The courses below marked * will include a written examination in <strong>the</strong> Higher School Certificate in<br />

addition to <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r requirements of <strong>the</strong> course. For <strong>the</strong> purposes of <strong>the</strong> ATAR <strong>the</strong>y are Category<br />

B subjects.<br />

Only two units of Category B subjects can contribute to <strong>the</strong> ATAR.<br />
