OFF-ROAD CAPABILITIES• Sand/Mud – Off-road calibrationfor use on low traction surfaces suchas mud, sand, or wet grass. Drivelineis maximized for traction. Somebinding may be felt on less forgivingsurfaces. The electronic brake controlsare set to limit traction controlmanagement of throttle and wheelspin.• Rock – Off-road calibration onlyavailable in 4WD Low range. Thevehicle is raised (if equipped with AirSuspension) for improved groundclearance. Traction based tuning withimproved steer-ability for use on hightraction off-road surfaces. Activatesthe Hill Descent Control for steepdownhill control. Use for low speedobstacles such as large rocks, deepruts, etc.Quadra-Lift• The Quadra-Lift air suspensionsystem provides full time load levelingcapability along with the benefit ofbeing able to adjust vehicle height bythe push of a button. Quadra-Lift isavailable with both Quadra-Trac II ®and Quadra-Drive II.• The system requires that the engine berunning for all changes. Whenlowering the vehicle all of the doors,including the liftgate, must be closed.58• The Quadra-Lift air suspensionsystem uses a lifting and loweringpattern which keeps the headlightsfrom shining into oncoming traffic.When raising the vehicle, the rear ofthe vehicle will move up first and thenthe front. When lowering the vehicle,the front will move down first and thenthe rear.• After the engine is turned off, you maynotice that the air suspension systemoperates briefly. This is normal. Thesystem is correcting the position of thevehicle.• To assist with changing a spare tire,the Quadra-Lift air suspensionsystem has a feature which allows theautomatic leveling to be disabled.Press and hold both the “Up” and“Down” buttons simultaneouslybetween 5 and 10 seconds; amessage will appear in the EVICstating leveling has been disabledimmediately after both buttons havebeen released. Driving the vehicleover 5 mph (8 km/h) will return theair suspension to normal operation.• An audible chime will be heardwhenever a system error has beendetected.Operation• Pressing the “Up” or “Down” buttononce will move the suspension oneposition higher or lower from thecurrent position, assuming allconditions are met (i.e., enginerunning and all doors and liftgateclosed).• The 4 indicator lamps will illuminate toshow the current position of thevehicle. Flashing indicator lamps willshow a position which the system isworking to achieve. If multipleindicator lamps are flashing on the“Up” button, the highest flashingindicator lamp is the position thesystem is working to achieve.
