on the Day of Terror, and security on the Day of Fear, O Allah, verily I am one who seeks refuge from the evil of what You have granted us and the evil of what You have withheld from us; O Allah, make faith beloved to us, endearing it to our hearts; and disbelief, rebelliousness and disobedience intolerable to us, and make us from among the rightly guided; O Allah, cause us to die as Muslims and cause us to live as Muslims, and join us with the righteous and not with the disgraced and deceived; O Allah, obliterate the disbelievers who belie Your Messengers and prevent (others) from Your path, and place Your enmity and retribution upon them; O Allah, annihilate the disbelievers to whom You have given the Book; O God of Truth.” (Ahmad, 424/3) As-Su’aalaatAllaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka bi'anna lakal-­‐hamda laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta wahdaka laa shareeka laka, al-­‐mannaanu, yaa badee'as-­‐samaawaati wal'ardhi yaa thal-­‐jalaali wal-­‐'ikraam, yaa Hayyu yaa qayyoomu 'innee 'as'alukal-­‐jannata wa 'a'oothu bika minan-­‐naar. “O Allah, I ask You, as You are the Owner of praise, there is none worthy of worship but You alone, You have no partner. You are the Giver of all good. O Creator of the heavens and the earth, Owner of majesty and honor.
