He also leaves a brother, William J. Gullion.Funeral ServicesFuneral services will be held at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Wolf, at Dunningstreat, on Thursday afternoon at two oclock.Rev. Harry J. Swan, pastor of the Presbyterian churchwill officiate.Burial will be in Ballston Spa cemetery and the military burial service will be in charge ofBallston Post, V.F.W. of which he was a memberHad a Vivid MemoryIn spite of his advanced years Mr. Gullion had a wonderfully retentive memory and talkedfor many events in his unusually active life. One of his most thrilling recollections was the funeral ofthe martyr president, the great Lincoln whose body was met at the train in Chicago by his regiment,the captains marching beside the hearse drawn by eight black horses, the lieutenants back of thehearse and the privates in the rear, he being in the front ranks.He told of escorting the body to the Bryan Hall, were it lay in state, and then escorting thecortege back to the railroad station for the journey to Springfield, where burial took place.Jeremiah Wayne Gullion and Sarah Lucretia Rouze had the following children:i.
