Mrs. Scudder died just as she lived, surrounded by her loving children. A moredevoted family never lived. Five manly men, her sons and one splendid daughter were at herbedside for many days answering every beck and call before the passing of this loving old mother.Mrs. Scudder was married to Nathaniel Scudder August 15th, 1866 To this union were born eightchildren, six of whom are living. Emerson of Aurora Ind., Milt, Mr s. Heir and Ulle and Carroll, ofGallatln county and Dilver of Washington, D. C. Mrs. Scudder united with the United Brethrenchurch when quite young in Indiana, and later affiliated with the Methodist church in Warsaw Shewas known to be a consecrated sincere christan and did not, fear the future. The Funeral was heldto the Warsaw Methodist church by Rev. Ockerman. The burial was In the Markland Ind., cemeteryby the side of her husband who preceded her to the grave many years ago.Note: Jane's death certificate says she was born November 4, 1849.Nathaniel H.
