PP-III-64Ceria-Induced, Sb-Promoted, V 2 O 5 -TiO 2 Based Catalyst for NH 3 -SCRof NO xMaqbool M.S. 1,2 , Lee K.J. 2,3 , Rao K.N. 2 , Ha H.P. 21 University of Science and Technology, South Korea2 Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, South Korea3 Deptt. of Chemical & Biological Engineering, Korea University, Seoul, South Koreasalman.maqbool87@gmail.comEfficient abatement of nitrogen oxides, under severe SO 2 poisoning condition, have alreadybeen reported using antimony promoted vanadia-titania catalyst [1]. The current study wascarried out to further enhance its efficiency as well as to lower the reaction temperature. Aseries of experiments was done in order to assure the optimum percentage of ceria addition. The experiments showed that the system with addition of 10% cerium had the best catalyticactivity among all. In order to know the effect of water and SO 2 , the catalytic activity wasmeasured both in their absence and presence alone and altogether. The physical properties ofthe systems under consideration were carried out using BET surface area and BJH adsorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The resultswere supported with X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR) and Temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) techniques.References:[1] H.P.
