PP-IV-17Control of Metal Dispersion, Chemical Composition, Porous Structureand Thickness of Mesoporous PtSn/TiO 2 and PdZn/TiO 2 Coatingsfor Microcapillary ReactorOkhlopkova L.B. 1 , Matus E.V. 1 , Kerzhentsev M.A. 1 , Ismagilov I.Z. 1 , Ismagilov Z.R. 1,21 Boreskov Institute of Catalysis SB RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia2 Institute of Coal Chemistry and Material Science, Kemerovo, Russiamila65@catalysis.ruBimetallic catalysts are widely used in the fine chemical industry, e.g. for selectivehydrogenation of acetylene alcohols and selective hydrogenation of ,-unsaturatedaldehydes. These processes are of particular interest because hydrogenation products areintermediates in the synthesis of vitamins and fragrant substances. In stirred tank reactor thereaction rate is often limited by interphase mass transfer. To overcome this problem, multiphasereactions can be performed in microcapillaries with a catalytic coating deposited on theinterior surface. In order to offer a good host matrix for embedding active component, thepreparation of titania coating with large surface area, controlled thickness and pore sizeshould be required [1]. A (poly-)metallic nanostructured catalyst, with its capacity tospecifically activate a selected functionality, can render a chemical reaction more efficient, faster and more selective, and thus, lower the raw material costs and/or increase theproductivity. The non-selective deposition by conventional methods (such as impregnationwith aqueous solutions and deposition-precipitation) leads to the formation of mono-andbimetallic particles with different compositions. In this sense, the preparation of bimetallicnanoparticles and clusters is envisaged as a suitable alternative to conventional methods sinceboth composition and particle size can be controlled. Prior to incorporation, the synthesisparameters should be optimized to obtain bimetallic clusters and nanoparticles with apredefined and narrow size distribution and required chemical composition [2]. Thecorrelation between physical-chemical properties of Pt-Sn/TiO 2 catalysts vs. their activity inselective hydrogenation of citral has been established [3].References:[1] L.B.
