TENNISEVENTS OFFERED: Individual Skills Contest, Singles,Doubles, Unified DoublesPARTICIPATION: Athletes may participate in both singles anddoubles. Individual Skills will only take place at the Sectionallevel. Individual Skill athletes may participate in doublescompetition. To qualify for Sectional level competition, anathlete must participate in an eight-week training program.CRITERIA FOR ADVANCEMENT: Athletes must participatein Sectional competition in order to advance to the SummerGames. The results from the Sectionals will be used todivision for the Chapter competition.ACTIVATION: Coaches are responsible for submitting theactivation list at the Sectional event for those athletes whoqualify to advance to the Summer Games.REGISTRATION TIMELINEQuota Request Form Due: February 21Sectional Registration Due: April 1Summer Games Activation List Due:North April 12South April 12SECTIONAL COMPETITION:General Guidelines: Athletes must compete in the Sectionalcompetition that their Area is assigned to attend. Coachesmay use additional criteria (i.e., behavior, overnight stay,medical) to evaluate the athlete for higher level competition.Individual Skills contest will only be conducted at theSectional level. Competition will only occur if there are 15athletes registered for the event. It is necessary to have15 athletes to establish fair and equal divisions. Athletesmust provide their own racquets.
