NEWSPORTBASEBALL<strong>Special</strong> <strong>Olympics</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> is proud to add the sport of Baseballas another opportunity for <strong>Special</strong> <strong>Olympics</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> athletes.Competition follows NFHS rules with slight modifications. Gameswill be played on a full sized field (90’ base line, 60’ 6” mound). TheSummer of 2013 featured two traditional teams that competed in theinaugural league.EVENTS OFFERED: Team Competition: Traditional or UnifiedOTHER OPPORTUNITIES: Developmental and skill clinics will bemade available through the Fall and Winter sport seasons.PARTICIPATION: Competitive Baseball requires a certain levelof rule comprehension and athletic skill to play safely.
