Dato’ Lee Yeow Chor was first appointed to the Board on 25 April 1996.He is responsible in overseeing the operations of all the Group’s corebusiness segments.Dato’ Lee is a barrister from Gray’s Inn, London and holds a LLB (Honours)from King’s College London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Finance andAccounting from London School of Economics. Prior to joining IOI Groupas a General Manager in 1994, he served in various capacities in theAttorney General’s Chambers and the Malaysian Judiciary service forabout four (4) years. His last posting was as a Magistrate.Dato’ Lee is the Chairman of the Malaysian Palm Oil Council (“MPOC”) andalso serves as a Council Member in the Malaysian Palm Oil Association(“MPOA”). He has also been appointed a Director of the Malaysian GreenTechnology Corporation in April 2011.Dato’ Lee is the eldest son of Tan Sri Dato’ Lee Shin Cheng and thebrother of Lee Yeow Seng.Dato’ Lee is deemed in conflict of interest with the Company by virtue ofhis interest in certain privately-owned companies which are also involved inproperty development business. However, these privately-owned companiesare not in direct competition with the business of the Company due to thedifferent locality of the developments. Except for certain recurrent relatedparty transactions of a revenue or trading nature which are necessary forday-to-day operations of the Company and its subsidiaries and for whichDato’ Lee is deemed to be interested as disclosed under Other Informationsection of the Annual Report, there are no other business arrangementswith the Company in which he has personal interests.Dato’ Lee attended all the eight (8) Board Meetings held during thefinancial year ended 30 June 2012.DATO’ LEE YEOW CHORExecutive Director, Malaysian, Age 46Sustainability iskey to a bettertomorrow for thenext generation.
