Cheah Tek Kuang was first appointed to the Board on 22 August2012. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree fromUniversity of Malaya and is a Fellow of the Institute of BankersMalaysia. He joined Amlnvestment Bank Berhad in 1978 and heldthe position of Managing Director since 1994. He was re-designatedto Group Managing Director of AMMB Holdings Berhad on1 January 2005 and subsequently retired on 1 April 2012. Prior tojoining the AmBank Group, he was with the then MalaysianIndustrial Development Authority (now known as MalaysianInvestment Development Authority).Cheah Tek Kuang is also a member of the Nominating Committeeof the Company. He is presently the Independent Non-ExecutiveChairman of Berjaya Sports Toto Berhad, the Deputy Chairman andNon-Executive Director of AmInvestment Bank Berhad and AmBank(M) Berhad. He is also a Director of AmIslamic Bank Berhad, AmLifeInsurance Berhad, AmGeneral Insurance Berhad, AmFamily TakafulBerhad, Bursa Malaysia Berhad, Cagamas Holdings Berhad and aMember of Investment Panel in Kumpulan Wang Persaraan(Diperbadankan) [Retirement Fund Incorporated] and AlternateChairman to the Malaysian Investment Banking Association.cheah tek kuangIndependent Non-Executive Director, Malaysian, Age 65Lim Tuang Ooi was first appointed to the Board on 17 January 2011.He is the Senior General Manager and Head of the Risk ManagementDepartment of the Employees Provident Funds of Malaysia (“EPF”).He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant byProfession. He is a member of the Malaysian Institute of CertifiedPublic Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Accountants.Lim Tuang Ooi has more than 28 years of experience in the financial,risk and accounting industry. He joined EPF in November 2007 andprior to that he was the Chief Financial Officer of Hong Leong Bankwhere he oversaw the Financial Management, Accounting Operations,Tax Management, Strategic Planning and Risk Management functions.He was with Citibank for more than 15 years and held many rolescovering Risk Management, Credit Risk, Collections, Service, Quality,Business Banking, Credit Analytics and Credit Operations.
