Quah Poh Keat was first appointed to the Board on 2 January 2008. He is a memberof the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Malaysian Institute of Certified PublicAccountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and Fellow of theMalaysian Institute of Taxation and Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Heserved as a past Vice-President of the Malaysian Institute of Taxation and is currentlya Member of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers Economic Policies Committee.Quah Poh Keat had been a partner of KPMG since 1 October 1982 and was the SeniorPartner of the Firm responsible for the daily operations of KPMG Malaysia from1 October 2000 until 30 September 2007. Prior to taking up the position of SeniorPartner (also known as Managing Partner in other practices), he was in charge of theTax Practice and the Japanese Practice in KPMG Malaysia. He was also a member ofthe KPMG Japanese Practice Council, the governing body within KPMG International,which looks after the Japanese Practices in the KPMG world. He was a Board Memberof KPMG Asia Pacific that oversees KPMG operations in Asia Pacific and a Member ofKPMG International Council that oversees KPMG’s global operations.Quah Poh Keat had experience in Audition, Taxation, and Insolvency Practices andworked in both the Malaysian Firm and two years with the UK Firm. He retired fromKPMG Malaysia on 31 December 2007.Quah Poh Keat is also a member of the Audit and Risk Management Committee andNominating Committee of the Company. He is also a Director of Telekom MalaysiaBerhad, Public Bank Berhad, Public Investment Bank Berhad, Public Mutual Berhad,Public Islamic Bank Berhad, Public Finance Ltd, Public Financial Holdings Ltd, PublicBank (Hong Kong) Ltd, Cambodian Public Bank Plc, Lonpac Insurance Berhad, CampuLonpac Insurance Plc, Campu Securities Plc, LPI Capital Berhad and On-GoingHoldings Sdn Bhd.
