Demo #3709 Smeal Fire Apparatus Co. 75’ Heavy Duty Aerial12 VOLT SCENE LIGHTS ( LEFT )There shall be two (2) Whelen 70K000ZR, Opti-Scenelights with 8-32 degree optics, installed onthe left side of the apparatus. The lights shall be installed in a bezel.The left side scene lights shall be controlled by a switch located in the chassis within reach of thedriver. The switch shall have an indicator which shall illuminate when the switch is in the “ON”position. One switch shall control all of the left side scene lights if multiple scene lights areselected. The switch shall be labeled "LEFT SCENE.”12 VOLT SCENE LIGHTS RIGHTThere shall be two (2) Whelen 70K000ZR, Opti-Scenelights with 8-32 degree optics, installed onthe right side of the apparatus. The switch shall be labeled "RIGHT SCENE.”ONAN HYDRAULIC GENERATOR SETAn Onan model CMHG 8000, hydraulic driven generator set shall be installed on the apparatus.The generator shall be rated at 8,000 watts at 120/240 volts. Current frequency shall be stable at60 hertz.The power generating unit shall be modular unit, housed in stainless steel with an acousticalmaterial added for maximum sound dampening. The module shall consist of the hydraulic motor,generator, blower, cooler, and all other necessary components.For ease of maintenance, the only part of the system that shall require accessibility shall be the oilreservoir which shall be located so as to facilitate periodic checks and the adding of hydraulicfluids.WARRANTY PERIODProvided such goods are operated and maintained in accordance with Onan's written instructions,Onan warrants that the CMHG SERIES Hydraulic Generators shall be free from defects in materialand workmanship for a period of five (5) years or one thousand (1,000) hours, whichever comesfirst, from the date of delivery to the first purchaser.Repair or replacement parts shall be warranted for ninety (90) days from date of purchase,excluding labor and travel expenses. Any part repaired or replaced during the warranty periodassumes the remainder of the warranty or ninety (90) days, whichever is greater.Onan shall pay for the parts and labor, including diagnostic labor, to repair the generator. Whennecessary, Onan shall also pay reasonable labor expenses associated with the removal andreinstallation of the generator into the customer's equipment, up to the maximum time of two (2)hours. For the first two (2) years of coverage, Onan shall pay travel time up to two and one-half(2.5) hours and mileage cost up to one hundred (100) miles, if such work is done by an Onandistributor or other service representative designated by Onan.The generator shall be located above pump, the activation switch for the generator shall be locatedin the chassis cab.Revised 6/2/09 Page 42 of 114

The display metershall automatically sense a generator signal and begin displaying information. The digital meterdisplay shall constantly monitor and display voltage, frequency and amps. The display shall becapable of displaying total accumulated run time hours when the MODE button is pressed once.Press the MODE button twice to display the temperature of the oil returning to the oil reservoir.The frog display shall be located on the pump panel.LOAD CENTERThe entire 120/240 volt electrical system shall be installed in strict compliance with NFPA Pamphlet1901, newest edition. This shall include all testing, labeling, wiring methodology, and dimensionalrequirements. Certification of compliance shall accompany the apparatus at the time of delivery.There shall be a 120/240 volt load center incorporated into the 120/240 volt wiring system. Theload center shall include adequate circuit breakers to protect the loads specified on this apparatus.All 120/240 volt A.C. Wiring shall be done in accordance with NFPA Pamphlet 1901 as well asnationally accepted electrical codes.BRANCH CIRCUIT OVERCURRENT PROTECTIONOver current protection devices shall be provided for circuits in accordance with NFPA 1901newest version. The load center shall be equipped with a non-GFI two pole main breaker when thesix or more individual branch circuits are present.Over current protection devices shall be marked with labels to identify the function of the circuitthey protect.The load center shall be located L-1.LOAD CENTER ROLL UP DOOR DRIP TRAY, ROMThere shall be a drip pan with drain provided in the upper section of the compartment. The drippan shall prevent moisture from the roll-up door spool from coming in contact with the breaker box.TELESCOPING 120 VOLT LIGHTSThere shall two (2) Havis-Shields telescoping light pole, part number KR-SB-356, comprised of thefollowing components shall be supplied.Havis-Shields Equipment Corp. Magnafire 5000, model KR-56 light shall be supplied. Therectangular die cast light fixture shall measure 9-1/8" wide by 5-3/8" high by 4-7/8" deep and havea white powder coat finish. The 750 watt 120 volt light shall have a quartz halogen bulb with a fieldreplaceablemodular, 4-7/32" high by 8” wide electro-polished aluminum reflector, and molded,high-heat polymeric handle. The fixture shall have a locking swivel joint with a 3/4" diameter NPTthreaded base to allow the light to be manually tilted up/down and locked in position by theoperator.Product shall be Listed by an accredited NRTL to ensure conformance to UL Standard 1598 andCSA Standard C22.2 No. 250.0 for fixed-mounted luminaires.
