Transfer to airport for flight to Ho ChiMinh City. Transfer to the hotel and check infor 2 nights. (B)Day 6 Cu Chi TunnelsDrive to the remarkable Cu Chi tunnelsoutside Ho Chi Minh City. During the war VietCong guerrillas built the labyrinth of narrowtunnels using them to hide in during bombingraids and stage surprise attacks. Return to HoChi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-daycity tour including the Reunification Palace(photo-stop), Notre Dame Cathedral, CentralPost Office, Chinatown, Binh Tay Market andThien Hau Temple. (B)Day 7 Ho Chi Minh City to Tra OnDrive to Cai Be and take a boat to the floatingmarket to practise the age-old art of bartering.You will be supplied with sweets, sugar andmilk which you can then use to barter fordifferent kinds of local fruits. Continue byboat to a family-run business producing alocal version of popcorn and rice paper. Cruisethe tranquil waters stopping for brief walkingtours of riverside villages. Dock at Tra On foran overnight stay on board. (B)Day 8 Tra On to Ho Chi Minh CityTravel to Can Tho city and transfer to sampanto explore the colourful and bustling floatingmarket at Cai Rang. Later, cruise throughnarrow canals and stop at a fruit orchardto taste some of the succulent fruits of theregion. Visit Binh Thuy ancient house beforereturning to Ho Chi Minh City. (B)Day 9 Ho Chi Minh City to Siem ReapTransfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Inthe afternoon, explore the Khmer templesfrom the early Angkor period, including PreahKo, Bakong, and Lolei temples dating from the9th and 10th centuries. Return to the hotelfor 3 nights. (B)Day 10 AngkorExplore the ancient Angkor Complex, starting atAngkor Thom. Continue with the ruins at Bayon,Baphoun, Phimeanakas, the Royal Palace, theElephant Terraces and the Leper King Terrace.In the afternoon visit the extraordinary AngkorWat before viewing a spectacular sunset fromthe top of Phnom Bakheng. (B)Day 11 AngkorContinue your Angkor exploration at thegraceful 11th century Temple of Shiva inBanteay Srei and the Banteay Samre Temple.On the way back, view the Bantey Kdei with itsrarely seen sculpted female deities, the Lakeof Srah Srang and the impressive Ta ProhmTemple, which is dramatically enveloped byjungle.
