The moisture content should be below 15%. Full plaster requires a minimum of 30 days,skim coat plaster a minimum of 10 days to cure. Nibs should be knifed off before painting. Do not sand until after thesurface is painted. It is preferable to prime new plaster with 100% Acrylic Primer such as Primer Choice 50300.Ferrous Metal - Clean, then prime with Rust Stop® Rust Inhibiting Metal PrimerNew Wood - Knots and stains should be sealed with Prime Choice® Oil Based Stain-blocking Primer #20700 or PrimeChoice Universal Latex Stain-Blocking Primer #50600 to avoid staining.
