Media - BiHDelegation from South Australia visits City's AdministrationBeginning of cooperation and better understandingYesterday, the Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Savo Vlaski, was visited by adelegation from South Australia, lead by the Minister for Justice MichaelAtkinson . With him in the delegation were the Member of Parliament of SouthAustralia Vincenzina Ciccarello and the adviser to the Minister for JusticeGeorge Karzis .- The connection between Australia and Bosnia and Herzegovina alreadyexists through the Bosnian community in our country . It began with the firstmigrants who migrated to our country after the Second World War, and hassignificantly increased after this last war, -said Atkinson .This visit has been, by the words of Minister Atkinson, an opportunity for thepromotion and improvement of inter-country relations, and also for theestablishment of dialogs about topics of mutual interests .This visit has been an opportunity for preliminary conversations and theexploration of possibilities for the improvement of cooperation betweenSarajevo Film Festival and the Film Festival in Adelaide and the Film Industryover there, initiated by the parliamentarian Ciccarello .With a remark, that meetings like these should be praised, but are also latefrom the aspect of development of diplomatic dialogs, the `Morning News'asked the parliamentarian Ciccarello about the ways of improvement ofcooperation between our country and Australia and its States .-We do not have our Embassy in this region and that is a handicap in thedevelopment of relations . However, I am hoping that the contacts that wemake during our visit, and the cooperation between the Film Industries andthe Festivals in Sarajevo and Adelaide, will be the establishment of closerrelations . At the same time, life goes on, so the same problem that we havewith Italy we managed to successfully overcome on the level of ForeignTrade Chambers . By that way we even have the three-monthly or six-monthlystay of Italian students, who are being educated in our country .But, we are hoping that the conclusions we take with us, will direct our futureactivities in more concrete steps as well, added Ciccarello .
