Wednesday, 11 .8 .2004 Sarajevo Morning News (Jutarnje novine)DELEGATION FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA IN SARAJEVOB&H of interests for investmentIn this part of Australia lives a large B&H communityThe Minister for Civil Affairs of B&H, Safet Halilovic, yesterday held talks withthe delegation of the Government of South Australia, lead by MichaelAtkinson, State Attorney, the Minister for Justice, Multicultural and ConsumerAffairs, about the governmental structure, the jurisdiction of the Council ofMinisters of B&H and the portfolios of ministers on the State level .Taking into the consideration the fact that in South Australia there is asignificant B&H community, the paticipants emphasised the need forcooperation in a number of areas, particularly in the area of education andculture . Having in mind the mutual interests of the two friendly countries,Minister Halilovic emphasised also the need for the opening of a DiplomaticMission of Australia in B&H .The Australian delegation was also met by the Secretary of the Departmentof Foreign Affairs of B&H, Fuad Sabeta, who informed the guests about thecurrent political and economic situation in B&H, with emphasis on a number ofpossibilities of investment of capital in our country .He talked about the goals of our country, such as total stability, stability ofinstitutions, economic development, privatisation, improvement and increaseof living standards of the population of B&H, as well as the foreign-politicalpriorities .In the Department of Foreign Affairs the participants also emphasised theneed for the opening of an Australian Embassy in Sarajevo, which would bringan additional stimulus to the strengthening of economic cooperation .UNDER PHOTO : Participants : What did Sabeta say to AtkinsonTravel Report, Hon.
