It helps explain and confirm that she was indeed married to 2 different WH<strong>Dupree</strong>s. The first was the son <strong>of</strong> Thomas & Allie <strong>Dupree</strong> and the second was his first cousin,the son <strong>of</strong> James and Grace <strong>Dupree</strong>.I hope all your family is well,DeniseIn MemoriumMrs. Eugenia <strong>Dupree</strong>, wife <strong>of</strong> Mr. W. H. <strong>Dupree</strong>, was first married to Mr. William H. <strong>Dupree</strong>and in this union two children were born – Mr. Anguish <strong>Dupree</strong> and Miss Fannie <strong>Dupree</strong>. Inthe war <strong>of</strong> 1860-1865 he volunteered to serve his country and during this struggle he died,leaving behind to mourn, the poor widow and two children. After the war she was againmarried to another William H. <strong>Dupree</strong> and to this union three children were born, one dying ininfancy, the other two being Misses Mary <strong>Dupree</strong> and Saphronia <strong>Dupree</strong>.On June the 1st, 1915, Grandma stepped from the door and missing the step fell and was badlycrippled, confining her to her bed and has not been able to turn in bed since for two years andfive months, when on the 18th day <strong>of</strong> October, 1917, she passed away in the presence <strong>of</strong> herchildren, grandchildren and many friends. She was nearing her eightieth birthday when deathovertook her.It was sorrowful indeed to give up our loved one and to realize that she could not be spared tous any longer. Yet when we think seriously <strong>of</strong> the toils, sorrows, heartaches and pains <strong>of</strong> thislife we cannot wish her back. We cannot doubt but that Heaven with all its joys is hers, for sheleft a bright evidence that all was well with her.Grandma had a sweet disposition, was tender, loving and kind to everyone she met. To knowher was to love her – the influence <strong>of</strong> her beautiful life, like the fragrance <strong>of</strong> a sweet flower,will always remain with us. We feel that she is sweetly resting with her Father in Heaven and12
