He was a member and elder of Butner Presbyterian Church and wasretired from John Umstead Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday atButner Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Matthew Hardin and the Rev. Jim Grubb. Burial willbe in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.Surviving are his wife, Gladys Bowden Dupree, of the home; a son, Jesse Ray Dupree, of OldFort; two daughters, Faye Cates (James), of Durham, Patricia Smith (Lewis), of Butner; fivegrandchildren, Tim Dupree, Don Dupree, Greg Cates, Tami Dezern, Jamie Smith and eightgreat-grandchildren.
