duisport – The Port
With an annual cargo throughput of
110 million tonnes, the Port of Duis burg
(known under the tradename of duisport)
on the confluence of the Ruhr and
the Rhine is the world’s largest inland
port. The trimodal (waterway, railroad
and highway) logistics center is the hinterland
hub of major sea ports and at the
same time a gateway to central Europe.
Apart from the transfer of cargo (mainly
containerized cargo, imported coal, iron,
steel, oil and chemical products), duisport
provides a wide range of logistics services.
