Twelvethousand eight hundred fifty one only) in Receipt/Treasury Challan/ Demand Draft of a scheduled bank/demanddraft of a scheduled bank issued in favour of Director, IHBAS. The fixed deposit receipt shall be accepted only if itis valid for six months or more after the last of receipt of tenders.6. Tenders, which should always be placed in sealed envelope, with the name of work and due date written on theenvelopes, will be received by the Executive Engineer (Civil), IHBAS upto 2.30 P.M. on 04-06-2013 and will beopened by him or his authorized representative in his office on the same day at 03:00 PM7.1 The contractor shall be required to deposit an amount equal to 5% (Five Percent) of the tendered value of thework as Performance Guarantee in the form of an irrevocable bank guarantee bond of any scheduled bank orState Bank of India in accordance with the form prescribed or in cash or in the form of Govt. security, fixeddeposits receipts etc, as in the case of recovery of security deposit within prescribed number of days of the issueof tender acceptance. This period can be further extended by Engineer-in-charge upto a maximum period ofprescribed number of days on written request of the contractor.In case the contractor fails to deposit the said performance guarantee within the period asindicated in Schedule ‘F’, including the extended period if any, the Earnest Money depositedby the contractor shall be forfeited automatically without any notice to the contractor.7.2 General instructions to the tenderers submitting downloaded tenderi) The downloaded tender shall be accepted and downloadable tender document shall be valid forparticipation in the tender process. Tenders submitted on an incomplete downloaded tenderdocument or on a photocopy of the downloaded tender document shall be treated as invalid.ii) Earnest money and cost of tender documents shall be submitted in the form of DD/Pay order/Banker chequeof a scheduled bank drawn in favour of “The Director, IHBAS” payable at Delhi. Cost of tender document isnon refundable in any case.iii) The tenderers using downloaded tender document shall submit requisite documentary proof in support oftheir eligibility as per the criteria laid down in the Notice Inviting Tender. The documentary proof along withthe earnest money and cost of tender document shall be placed in the sealed cover marked ‘Earnest Money’.The tender duly filled in the downloaded tender document shall be placed in the envelop marked ‘Tender’.Both the envelopes shall then be put in another sealed cover for submission of tender marked ‘Name of work’and ‘Date of opening’.iv)The envelopes marked ‘Earnest Money’ shall be opened first on the due date and if the earnest money & costof tender document are found in order, the documentary proof submitted by the tenderers usingdownloaded tender document shall be scrutinized with reference to prescribed eligibility criteria todetermine the eligibility of the tenderers. In such cases the envelopes marked ‘Tender’ shall be opened only ifthe eligibility criteria is fulfilled, otherwise envelopes marked “Tender” shall be treated as invalid tender andnot be opened.v) Tenderers making use of downloaded tender document shall seal the tender, affix their initials and putrubber stamp on each page before submission.The description of the work is as follows: Providing Services for day to day maintenance work for allbuildings, roads, internal & external water supply & sanitary installations within IHBAS Residentialcampus under A/R & M/O during 2013-14.8.
