Operation3.3 Operation using the central control unit3.4 Incorrect <strong>operation</strong>CAUTIONProduct damage from failure of the <strong>external</strong>control unit! The control unit is not functionalunder certain critical conditions (e.g. powerfailure or malfunctions).• Set the <strong>external</strong> control unit to manual ifyou are going to be away.Operation during a storm• Raise the <strong>external</strong> <strong>venetian</strong>blind when thepermissible wind speedlimit is exceeded (seeTab. 2). NOTE• Adjust the central control unit in such a waythat continuous <strong>operation</strong> of the <strong>motor</strong> isavoided. The <strong>motor</strong>s used in these productsare not intended for continuous <strong>operation</strong>. Theintegrated thermal protection will switch the<strong>motor</strong> off after approx. 4 minutes. The productwill be ready for use again after approx. 10 to15 minutes.• Instructions on how to operate this feature arecontained in a separate manual.• Before using your balconyor terrace, switchoff the automatic controlif the product ismounted in front of theonly entrance. Otherwiseyou could lockyourself out. NOTEAn emergency power supply is recommended forwindy regions <strong>with</strong> frequent power failures.Operation in cold weatherCAUTIONProduct damage from forceful <strong>operation</strong>!
