Rules and Regulations 209NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS BOARDRules and RegulationsSeries 3(Effective November 26, 1943)By virtue of the authority vested in it by the National LaborRelations Act, 49 Stat. 452, the National Labor Relations Boardissued its Rules and Regulations—Series 3 (General Rules and Regulations)on November 8, 1943. The Rules and Regulations—Series3—superseded the Rules and Regulations—Series 2—as amended(General Rules and Regulations) signed by the Board November 5,1942, and all amendments to said Series 2—as amended, subsequentlysigned by the Board. Said Series 2—as amended, and all subsequentamendments thereto were thereby rescinded. The Rules and Regulations—Series3—were published in the Federal Register on November26, 1943, and became effective on that date. The following, inconsolidated form, with headnotes, are those Rules and Regulations.These Rules and Regulations—Series 3 (General Rules and Regulations)shall continue in force and effect until amended or rescinded byrules and regulations hereafter made and published by the Board.Signed at Washington, D. Terms defined in Section 2 of the Act.—The terms"person," "employer," "employee," "representatives," "labor organization,""commerce," "affecting commerce," and "unfair laborpractice," as used herein, shall have the meanings set forth in Section 2of the National Labor Relations Act, a copy of which Act is appendedhereto.SEC. 2. Act, Board.—The term "Act" as used herein shall meanthe National Labor Relations Act, and the term "Board" shall meanthe National Labor Relations Board.SEC. 3. Region.—The term "Region" as used herein shall meanthat part of the United States or any Territory thereof fixed by theBoard as a particular Region.
