July 12 [<strong>Kate</strong>]Saturday:Left camp before breakfast <strong>and</strong> traveled three miles to grass where we took breakfast remained there severalhours <strong>and</strong> went nine miles to water <strong>and</strong> grass where we remained the remainder <strong>of</strong> the day had good water<strong>and</strong> washed a small washing. In the evening Mr Dille a Mormon preacher who lives close to where we arecamping preached to us like to hear him ( ) very well. One <strong>of</strong> our mules was sick this morning but is betternow.Traveled 12 milesJuly 12 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]Saturday.Left camp early drove three miles <strong>and</strong> stoped to leave our stock graze <strong>and</strong> get our breakfast Kit mule hadcolic which allmost discouraged one drove .... Morgan with Pa started again drove 9 mi <strong>and</strong> stopped fordinner by a house remained there the rest <strong>of</strong> the day <strong>Kate</strong> <strong>and</strong> I washed I listened to a Mormen sermonwatter good <strong>and</strong> plenty <strong>of</strong> it <strong>and</strong> grass allsoJuly 13 [<strong>Kate</strong>]Sunday:Left camp <strong>and</strong> traveled six miles to Rock Creek watered the stock <strong>and</strong> went one mile to grass on irigatingditch where the stock did pretty well after dinner traveled four miles to Curlew Valley where we campedhad ditch water <strong>and</strong> very good grass. How lonely our Sundays are spent to what they should be.Traveled 11 milesJuly 13 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]Sunday. Late when we left Mr Dilles crossed Sink Creek six miles from there took dinner one mile west hadplenty <strong>of</strong> grass <strong>and</strong> water traveled four miles farther <strong>and</strong> camped the remainder <strong>of</strong> the day in Curlew Valleynear some little log houses did some packing heard some music on a flute
