July 27 [<strong>Kate</strong>]SundayAnother lonely day Several freight trains passed us the only thing <strong>of</strong> interest that has happened in theevening there was several songs sang.July 27 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]Sunday. This has been another long day I packed all forenoon wrote a letter this afternoon spent the rest <strong>of</strong>the day with Mrs. <strong>Smith</strong> some <strong>of</strong> the boys came around in the evening <strong>and</strong> we had some music I sang a songwith the rest this is a beautifull eveningJuly 28 [<strong>Kate</strong>]MondayThis morning Mr. Lowary <strong>and</strong> our family left Rattlesnake leaving Mr. ( ) <strong>and</strong> Mr. <strong>Smith</strong> untill Mrs. <strong>Smith</strong>was able to travel We traveled fourteen miles to Tub Springs where we camped found good grass <strong>and</strong> watertwo freighters camped here this evening each have ten yoke <strong>of</strong> oxen to their wagons it has been very hot14 milesJuly 28 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]Monday. Late this morning when we started we traveled fourteen miles <strong>and</strong> camped at Tub Springs hadplenty <strong>of</strong> grass also water I had a chill but it was very light it seems rather lonely this eve as there is only thetwo families <strong>of</strong> usJuly 29 [<strong>Kate</strong>]TuesdayWe left Tub Springs this morning <strong>and</strong> traveled fourteen miles to Indian Creek where we camped It is a verypretty place We passed through a very hilly country passed two streams <strong>and</strong> a stage Station We camped fordinner about half mile East <strong>of</strong> the stage Station Have tolerable good grass but terrible water14 milesJuly 29 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]Tuesday. It was late this morning when we left. Tub Springs traveled about five miles <strong>and</strong> stoped for dinnerhad fearfull water drank <strong>of</strong> it but did not think it fit to wash the dishes passed a comfortable looking ranchstoped for the night near a ranch <strong>and</strong> PO [post <strong>of</strong>fice] on Indian Creek have a nice campground this is abeautiful evening
