[Washington Territory] Rode among to ......May 14 [<strong>Kate</strong>]Wednesday: We left our camping ground pretty early <strong>and</strong> passed through Huchison where we shiped ourgoods. Huchison is the County seat <strong>of</strong> Reno County is a very pretty town situated on the bank <strong>of</strong> Cow Crick.The ( ) seem pleasantly feature about. It is that the s<strong>and</strong> is drifted in the Streets as deep as ones boots. Wehave crossed Cow Crick twice. Stopped for dinner four <strong>and</strong> half miles East <strong>of</strong> Nickerson very good pasturefor stock But water very scarce. after dinner passed through Nickerson a flurishing little town in RenoCounty. We camped half mile West <strong>of</strong> Sterling in a very pretty place. The wind has been blowing quite hardall day <strong>and</strong> the dust flying. Have been North <strong>of</strong> the R. R.May 14 [<strong>Jennie</strong>]We crossed Cow Creek in the edge <strong>of</strong> Huchison this is a nice place <strong>and</strong> is in Reno County took dinner fourmiles <strong>and</strong> half east <strong>of</strong> Nickerson this is also in Reno camped a little ways west <strong>of</strong> Sterling on the R R ourmules were badly scared at the cars there was some fellows riding around it looks suspishous we are inReno Co tonight
